April is Money Smart Month in the Kansas City area, with more than 100 activities planned.
Activities revolving around financial education will start on Saturday with a program presented by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Dubbed Money Smart Day, more than 30 sessions for youths and adults will be offered during this free event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at American Century Investments, 4500 Main St.

Among the other events scheduled next month:
–American Century presents Lynette Khalfani-Cox, the “Money Coach,” on April 19. The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kan.
–A closing ceremony is planned on April 29 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, where the winners of a citywide school poster, essay and video contest will be announced.
